Two things stand out here. 1. He does not allow himself the talked over. He knows what he wants to say and does not allow the CNN talking head to interrupt. I suspect he has done a great deal of training to prevent the impulse of good manners to distract him. 2. The other is that he is able to recognize the bait as bait and not be remotely tempted to take it. He sees the hook, but also sees the issue the Liar for Hire to is wanting to hide. Of speculative interest is the fact that Ramaswarmi is not a white man, and seems to feel no need to be deferential to an interlocutor who happens to be a woman with dark skin.
Could this be part of a trend?
