Smorgasbord from Pasadena

The following from View Points published in Pasadena.

Dear Readers of View Points,

I have been receiving emails and phone calls airing well-expressed (and legitimate) fears about the shattering of norms we’ve historically relied upon for equilibrium in our lives.

This past week I was told (bluntly) by a weapons safety instructor to expect the status quo “to continue until after the election in November.”

He likely is right.

Candace Owens has stated that the Democrats are about to lose the Black vote and “without the Black vote the Democrats have no party at all.”

She likely is right.

Conflicts are out there.

Along with your emails and phone calls on these subjects have come much-appreciated referrals to thoughtful articles/videos which may help all of us in maintaining equilibrium in these very different times.

I am forwarding a few:

1) Prediction – Camille Paglia, October 2016 (full article link)

” . . .if Trump wins it will be an amazing moment of change because it would destroy the power structure of the Republican party, the power structure of the Democratic party and destroy the power of the media. It would be an incredible release of energy… at a moment of international tension and crisis.”

2) Obama Joins the Jackals – Charles Krauthammer, January 2017 (full column link)

“Daniel Patrick Moynihan, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N. who went on to be a great Democratic senator, once argued passionately that in the anti-American, anti-democratic swamp of the U.N., America should act unwaveringly in opposition and never give in to the jackals. Obama joined the jackals.”

“He (Obama) leaves office as he came in: a man of the left, but possessing the intelligence and discipline to suppress his more radical instincts. As of Nov. 9, 2016, suppression was no longer necessary.”

3) Biblical Enemies – Archbishop Vigano’s letter to President Trump, June 2020

“The American people are mature and have now understood how much the mainstream media does not want to spread the truth but seeks to silence and distort it, spreading the lie that is useful for the purposes of their masters. However, it is important that the good – who are the majority – wake up from their sluggishness and do not accept being deceived by a minority of dishonest people with unavowable purposes. It is necessary that the good, the children of light, come together and make their voices heard. What more effective way is there to do this, Mr. President, than by prayer, asking the Lord to protect you, the United States, and all of humanity from this enormous attack of the Enemy?”

4) Trump’s Triumphs – Charlie Kirk Reasons for a Trump 2020 Victory (link to video)

5) Candace Owens – Using Logic

6) David J. Harris, “Seeing something completely disturbing . . .”

  1. Which Black Lives Matter? Only those belonging to the 10 or so black people per year that resist arrest? How about the 100s or 1,000s of black people killed each year that ARE NOT resisting arrest and, therefore not killed by law enforcement personnel?
