The text of the bill is here. Legislative action: Passed by the House on July 29, 2022, received by the Senate on August 1, 2022, read twice and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary. Roll call vote: 217 to 213 – 5 Democrats voted against this bill, 2 Republicans voted for it and one Republican did not vote. If the three Republicans had stood firm the bill would have failed.
The devil is in the details. Now all they have to do is go door to door and confiscate them. That might prove to be rough on the confiscators. Americans have been buying a million guns a month for the last 38 months. They will have their work cut out for them.
