Supreme Court ruling on religious schools

The Gateway Pundit reports:

The Supreme Court on Tuesday released its ruling on a Maine case related to using government vouchers for religious schools.  The court ruled that Maine could not prohibit parents from using vouchers to pay for religious schools on cable news and social media.

The Supreme Court ruled in Carson v. Makin that a program that permitted parents in districts without public high schools to use vouchers to pay for private schools unconstitutionally prohibited the use of the vouchers for religious schools. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the majority opinion in the 6-3 decision…

…“This decision recognizes that religious institutions should have equal access to government programs without sacrificing their religious identity and ability to remain true to their mission,” Eric Baxter, Vice President & Senior Counsel at the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty said.

Justice Roberts shared about the case.

“There is nothing neutral about Maine’s program,” Chief Justice John Roberts wrote.

He added, “The State pays tuition for certain students at private schools — so long as the schools are not religious. That is discrimination against religion.”

Liberals are upset about the ruling and claim it infringes on the division between church and state.  Jeffrey Toobin from CNN who is better known for his actions during zoom calls gave his opinion on this matter.

“Historically the court has said if there is government money going to religious institutions, including schools, that is a violation of the Establishment Clause,” CNN senior legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin said. “That idea is breaking down under the conservative majority.”

The Woke Supremacists will surely howl and gnash their teeth because taxpayer dollars will be spent teaching what secular schools won’t: reading, writing and arithmetic as well as religion.  Their ire can be boiled down to two causes: 1. Most of these schools will be Christian schools, and Christianity is precisely the one religion Social Justice Warriors are determined to expunge from the public square; 2. religious schools, whether Christian or not, are direct competitors to their dark and wicked religion of Neo-Marxist Wokeism and the New Soviet ideology spouting biped.

If the Establishment Clause, as they misunderstand it, prohibits government support for religion then it should be applied across the board.  Defund every institution that has been infested by Wokesters.  Remove taxpayer dollars from all Social Justice Warriors, all their vile works and all their empty promises.
