Pearl Harbor – Remembering December 7, 1941

On this day 81 years ago our nation was launched on a war that defined us.  The attack that was intended to dishearten us and make us sue for peace instead set us on a course to victory such as the world has never seen.  The Americans took on the challenge and mastered the world have almost all passed from this world.  To them we owe, will always owe, a debt that can only be repaid in one way: win this war in which we currently find ourselves engaged.

Let us bear ourselves, therefore, with the courage, determination and loyalty demonstrated by our forefathers, that once our time has passed and we ourselves are but memory and dust, Americans of that distant future will so honor us in our turn.
