Jeffrey Prather intelligence report
Were it not that our help in the name of the LORD we would be lost. But we are not lost, rather advancing to victory. I always think of the war in the Pacific. Following Pearl Harbor, in June 1942 the US won a great battle at Midway that spelled doom for Imperial Japan. Yet during the Summer and Autumn 1942 the Navy lost more men in the Guadalcanal theater of operations than did the Marines defending Henderson Field. So many ships were lost in those waters that they became known as Iron Bottom Sound, and by far the greatest ships lost were ours. Winning in war, and we are in a war now, is a brutal path littered with horror, terror, failure, disappointment and sorrow. Resist, adapt, overcome. Never give up, never surrender.
