The web that these organizations, and many others, weave together is, without doubt, influencing what happens at the national and local level, in many cases invisibly.
The subsuming of elected governance to these organizations is a stunning thing; the deliberate muddling, merging, blending of public and private spheres, and the suppression of our rights and voices that this then contributes to are real dangers, and we feel this suppression every day, in more ways than we can even identify.
