Beloved GBRA member Bill Saracino has passed

William “Bill” Saracino, former President and long time Board Member of GBRA has quite unexpectedly returned home to his Heavenly Father.

As a political advisor to GBRA, Bill was prominently known and active in Republican and Conservative campaigns and causes throughout Los Angeles County, The State of California, and at the National level as well.
While we rejoice in your heavenly reunion and eternal peace, we will always miss you, Bill and never forget you.
Lois Lee Brand Billings, President,
Allen Brandstater, Bill’s long time friend, Republican cohort, and  fellow  GBRA member, issued the following statement:
“Bill Saracino passed either late Monday or early Tuesday morning.  
First, reassuringly — he did not suffer.  Without my having further medical information,
 
Bill died of a stroke or a major heart attack, either late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
 
The outpouring of grief, condolences and the shared memories has been utterly overwhelming
this afternoon and evening.  Even with two dozen phone calls I made earlier and the dozens
(literally) of emails I have received by tonight is amazing.
 
What a tribute to our dear friend.”

  1. Bill and I were friends 1967-1970 in Coast Federal Savings and Loan’s Free Enterprise Student Seminar. Man, he was funny, witty, fluent and facile with the English language, a terrific speaker and a true believer. I am sad to never see him again. He always told me he was the model for the Big Boy statues at Bob’s Big Boy burger restaurants. The photo on this page makes me smile. Thank you all.
