Candle-light protest against Anti-Armenian policies Friday, October 21, 2022 at Glendale City Hall

GBRA Members and friends may at their discretion choose to send a letter protesting the attacks on Armenia by Azerbaijani terrorists and their allies.  A sample text hs below with a list of email addresses to send it.

Dear Mr. Jabarian and Members of Pan-Armenian National Emergency Committee (PANEC-USA),
Many of us in the GBRA and the larger community are gravely concerned about the ongoing Azerbaijani aggression against sovereign Armenia. We are also deeply affected by the fact that Azerbaijan continues to violate the international laws and refuses to set free all the Armenian military and civilian POW’s who were captured during and after the Fall 2020’s 44-Day anti-Armenian terrorist aggression by Azerbaijan-Turkey-ISIS (Islamic State terrorists.
Even more troubling is the fact that intransigent and belligerent Azerbaijan continues to this day to carry out unprovoked aggression against Armenia. We shall not remain silent.
Therefore, in my capacity as the Chair of Glendale Burbank Republican Assembly, propose that your patriotic organization — The Pan-Armenian National Emergency Committee (PANEC-USA)organize a community event such as a cangle-light vigil in front of the Glendale City Hall in the nearest possible future in which the Glendale Burbank Republican Assembly shall diligently participate.
We welcome a recent positive development in U.S. Congress when both Republican and Democratic senators Robert Menendez (D) and Marco Rubio (R) jointly introduced Senate Legislation Seeking End to Military Aid to Azerbaijan; Sanctions on Aliyev Regime.
The Glendale Burbank Republican Assembly would like to also call upon the Biden administration to impose sanctions against the Azerbaijani state-owned Socar oil company for financing the ongoing genocidal campaign by Azerbaijan and Turkey against Armenians in Armenia and Artsakh.  Moreover, the Glendale Burbank Republican Assembly calls upon the Biden administration to implement Section 907.  This law prohibits any kind of direct aid to Azerbaijan until they stop their aggression against the country of Armenia.  In addition, the Glendale Burbank Republican Assembly calls upon the U.S. government to speak out against the Armenian corridor pass through the Meghri region of Armenia that will connect Nakichivan to Azerbaijan.
Please advise of your decision at your earliest convenience.
