Belated report on the 10/10 BBQ

Mike Antonovich

The Oct. 10th BBQ at the University Club in Pasadena was a huge success.  Despite the short notice and Covid restrictions Republicans responded overwhelmingly.  We served over 150 delicious BBQ meals, several State and local candidates were introduced.

The political club’s planned event featured the introduction of several Republican, local, state and national candidates.

Most prominently,  Eric Early, the Republican candidate running to unseat Congressman Adam Schiff.  Eric introduced his bride, Emerald Guttierez Early, delivered a high energy speech  and interacted with the  crowd of his enthusiastic supporters.
Current  Republican candidates who addressed the crowd and engaged in GBRA’s traditional  Q n A:

Mike Graves running for
Assembly, 43rdAD,
Kathleen Torres Hazleton running for
State Senate, 25th SD

Michael Gogin
running for a seat on the Burbank City Council

We were honored by the presence of Mike Antonovich and CRA President Johnnie Morgan.  Evan Sayet, our featured speaker, gave an absolutely excellent presentation that was informative and stimulating.  Music was provided by the Sardo Brothers Band.  All guidelines were in place with social distancing and face masks.  All in all, a big success.
